UMPG improves the music of the podcast space

the Universal Music Publishing Group teams up with High audio in a deal focused on signing songwriters to create unique music for Audio Up’s original podcast programs. The new relationship will allow UMPG to identify and potentially sign talented creators who can both write songs for podcasts and excel in contemporary songwriting.

Additionally, UMPG has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with “Jingle Jared” Gutstadt, contemporary music songwriter/producer and CEO of Audio Up. Audio Up is focused on building hit tracks, using the podcasting space as a launchpad.

“I am thrilled to partner with Universal Music Publishing in this one-of-a-kind endeavor,” Gutstadt said. “We see podcasting as a gateway to music discovery and the hit songs of the future. Our unique blend of music-based content uncovers incredible stories and music from some of the best artists in the business. Our secret sauce is a Tin Pan Alley model with completely integrated and original musical capabilities from within our walls.

“Jared is a uniquely talented songwriter, producer and entrepreneur, from his background in creating production hits and contemporary music, to founding a new venture Audio Up as his first podcasting studio,” said said Marc Cimino, COO at UMPG. “UMPG is thrilled to partner with Jared and the Audio Up team, working together to discover and develop versatile songwriters who can create music for both these fan-favorite podcasts as well as contemporary hits. .”
